The Pink Panther Classic Cartoon Collection

Description
The Pink Panther is – paws down – the world’s grooviest cartoon star. In 1964, this pink-inked feline slinked onto the opening credits of Blake Edwards’ caper film by the same name and threatened to steal the entire show. Sleek, sophisticated and witty, the animation, produced by Friz Freleng and David H. DePatie, was a stylish departure from its contemporaries…and an instant hit. A subsequent short film, The Pink Phink, would go on to win* an Oscar® and spawn a celebrat… More >>

  1. This great collection of classic Pink Panther cartoons have 5 discs. The disc emission is only the first three discs in this series. However, if only as the best cartoon series first, then you may consider this option.

These drawings were produced in three waves:

1964 classic cartoons from 1969 to 1962 occurred in this period to visit the theaters. These are the best of the lot and really creative, winning several awards. In 1969, the Pink Panther was retired and sold to television with the inspector for a half hour show on NBC Saturday Morning. (Remember the classic Pink Panther car set in the opening credits?)

1971 to 1977 to 1930 the majority of cartoons were produced for the theaters, so that retirement Pink Panther theatrical. These were a success and a little more to lose the first wave of cartoons. Even in the production of theater, they had more time and money to produce these for the next wave. The first wave of these directors worked on this wave. Also sprayed on the television program Saturday morning after the implementation phase.

1978 to 1980 to 1932 were produced for the show cartoons of the Pink Panther TV 1978 with a limited budget and short period of time. The new directors were taken to help administrators with the original one year older workload. The decline in quality shows in these short, it feels like watching a cartoon. They quickly made, low budget cartoon became full of theaters more than three years.

time they were shot widescreen, so it is good that this DVD presents the complete picture.

some improvements over the previous “Jet Pink” collection of animated DVD:
all cartoon soundtracks of 1960 have improved fidelity.
ROSA phink is restored to the original theme song credits.
ROSA JET is the broad picture and better sound and original titles are restored.
ROSE IN THE NIGHT is the correct colors in the opening credits.

    Some notes wrong:
    1) A sample of some of my favorite cartoons have revealed some of TV’s laugh: pink, psychedelic, pink, pink TUBA-Dore. There are probably more. The DVD will allow us to see every cartoon soundtracks or as an option! Even the soundtrack of ‘music would have been nice.

    2) You must Pink Panther Jerry Beck’s ultimate guide to the best cats in the City “book (sold here at Amazon. Com) to guide you through the vignettes want to see. The list of titles in this DVD with the generic “pink ….” The licenses that these cartoons are not help you find the cartoon you want to view.

    3) The storage box is poorly designed, Disk 2 is based on the top of the disc 3 and disc 4 is based on the top of the disc 5. If you want 3 or 5 discs, you have to take the top of the first disc (Find a safe place to avoid scratching the put option), then remove the disk you want to see. Then replace the disk up so that is not damaged.
You should invest in some cases to save the disc from further damage.

TIP: PLACE RECORD 4 and 5, whose records 2 and 3, after 1970 probably do not watch cartoons a lot. In this way, are off track.

  3. mwreview says:

I bought three DVDs each one of the classic cartoon of the Pink Panther Collection not make this system has two additional discs with more cartoons and extras such as “Behind the Feline.” Not only that, but through Amazon, only a few dollars more, so now I see red. . . er, pink. If you really like PP does not make the same mistake I did. Get this collection. If you do not want to invest in a “little less pink, has a hard individual. This is” Pink, Plunk, Plink, which includes a cameo by Henry Mancini, and “Sink Pink” and “Pink Ice” that PP spoke! Why drop a star because as other reviewers have noted, the inspector and the Aardvark cartoons are not included. The replicas remember when I saw PP as a child. I recall in particular, the commissioner, for a Viewmaster reel of one of his cartoon. These performances show PP and added variety to be complete, which should have been included. If so, I bought this set when it was released. Another thing that bothers this set, and is not really the fault of the series, was like the cartoons were made, is the laugh track in a handful of them. PP was a moderately funny cartoon. He had no humor roll-on-the-floor, but was quiet (especially those who have no voice, to compare this cartoon in your face “today) with cool background music that could produce a smile here and there.” It was definitely more content from Bugs Bunny. A laugh track just is not good. It s funny how cartoons UN-PC were back in the day. PP smoke and there are plenty of weapons, violence, and some of the racial humor sprinkled inside I can not describe all the cartoons like that would make this review as allowed by Amazon, but here are some lights and lowlights: < , br />
Phink Rosa: In the table, this ep. won a prize. PP makes life impossible for a painter to ensure your new home is pink.
Rosa pajamas: PP crashes into the house of an alcoholic who calls his sponsor, after seeing PP (probably a sign of worse to see a pink elephant).
Mark P for Pink: PP foil a thief security. Initially, the thief turned the knob on the safe side and becomes like a radio. He has to unplug it.
Pica Rose, the first episode with the voices. A safari hunter hoping to build an ark for the round two of every animal, but it lacks a PP, which would make a great carpet of the disappeared. PP, himself, speaks of this.
Pickled Pink (V) A fortified port of origin PP and hiding everything from the nagging wife. Hide in the fridge at one point and when he returns, he finds PP has turned blue (“Oh, hello Blue Panther, have you seen a Pink Panther?”)
Pinkfinger: (V) The first with a disembodied voice. This encourages the PP of being a secret agent. I do not know if it changes, but ends up odd (like the end of the article in an underground cellar, with a lion and he was so depressed PP at the end after you get your man?).
shocking pink (V) (LT) The first with a laugh track that I find annoying. The disembodied voice accuses PP lazy (“Why pay $ 7. 50/hour for a plumber ?”).< br /> Pink Ice: (V) PP mining in competition with two inept diamond . Another rare, in which PP speaks!
Rosa Panzer: PP becomes disembodied voice and its neighbor against another.
An ounce of pink: PP buy a scale of talking, I guess.
Reel Pink: PP goes fishing and the use of non-cooperation of worm and finds a crab in a bad mood. />
Rosa Punch: (laughs registered) This EP is annoying. PP tries to advertise your drink, but a green check mark, insists on being the point where “i” in “pink”.
Rosa Pistons: PP buy a small blue bug (do not worry, it painted pink) and enters a race with her grandmother Flash. Can you believe the PP was able to recover your money to a used car salesman?
Vitamins Vitamin PP Wild West rose a fugitive of force to enter a safe. PP is the sheriff recapture.
Pink, Plunk, Plink: PP binds to a symphony orchestra, and insists on playing his theme song. Henry Mancini is in the audience (in fact, is the only one in the audience!).
Super Pink: One of my favorites! Even with the laugh track is fun. PP decides to be a superhero and is trying to keep the same poor old woman who must have the worst luck in the world.
Rock-A-Bye Pinky: PP hounds a caravan continues to snore blames his poor dog, faithful to his misfortunes (This story was used in several eps PP).

Jet Rosa: I remember this ep is good because I had even Viewmaster reels as a kid (and again). PP tries his hand (uh, paw) to be a pilot.
Pinto Pink: Another of the EP on my Viewmaster reels. PP tries riding fun.
Congratulations, it’s Pink: PP is to steal a picnic basket, but gets a baby in a basket in place. At one point, leaves him with an Indian couple and the husband gets mad and attacks the white boy post trade. Definitely not PC!
Pinker The hand is the eye: PP slipped into the house of a wizard and finds magic and a rabbit loving props.
Out Rose: ep weak. Only several clips that ends with a pink screen.
Pinkadilly Circus: After a man takes a nail from the foot of the PP, the PP is so grateful, he insists on being a slave of man. The man is a good use for PP against the nagging wife.
Psychedelic Pink: (LT) and p Very strange, hence the title. PP visit the Book Shop grotesque and means “the love life of the Panther” (this is funny). From there, the European Parliament goes everywhere.
quarterback Pink: PP chases after running fourth, he could buy a hot dog or hamburger (should be 1960).
Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Rosa PP build a house in the light of the observation telescope.
Rosa Valiente: one of my favorites. A king has PP to save the kidnapped daughter (running after yelling). The kidnapper ends up as someone who really needs saving.
The Pink Package Plot: PP is forced to deliver a package of tic-tac Slobvanian embassy.

Pinkcome Taxes: PP (Robin Hood style) tries to save a man in jail for failure to pay taxes.
Pink-a-Rella: PP witches get their paws on a magic wand and makes a poor plain Jane into a princess to win a date with parsley Basin. fun part of the pelvis test the shoe on pp.
extinct Rosa (LT) This could be the worst ever PP ep. PP is all that is, a caveman and dinosaur competition in a bone.
Rose Gong (LT) PP is a waiter at the restaurant I hit the gong Gong for orders is close to a glass shop. Full of Asian stereotypes. Definitely not PC! />
Rosa Aye (LT) PP is a stowaway on Luxitania (yes, this is the name) and become an opera singer won. It has a final weak, nauseated old chair.
Rosa Da Vinci: PP keeps changing the face of the Mona Lisa.
Salmon Pink / Pink Elephant: These two eps have the same premise. PP feeding an animal (fish and elephant) and his pet every twenty. The writers must have been short of ideas.

  4. There is no doubt of the Pink Panther cartoon series ranks as one of the most beautiful in Hollywood and television. Adults who grew up with these classic cartoons on Saturday morning will be happy to see these beautifully restored. Young people appreciate the elegant master of pantomime who spoke only twice in one or two words. character and there was never a straight man more memorable than the classic “little white man-with-mustache” (based on Friz Freleng).

All 124 Pink Panther animated cartoons produced between 1964 and 1980, is here in this series (long) full five-disc DVD. Image and sound quality is better than ever, and the package is a child (and adults!) Delight. The DVDs are housed in a vinyl bag inflated (VHS shell similar cases), and laying down four neatly folded in plastic trays that allow discs to be stored side by side.

Despite the first 62 Pink Panther shorts were originally produced for the cinema, was launched after NBC gave the short Saturday morning in September 1969 did Official “The Pink Panther Show” into living rooms. Each program consists of two 30-minute shorts Panther “with the third short of the two, with other characters (Inspector Clouseau, Ant and the Aardvark, Tijuana Toads, Misterjaw, etc.) The films were then connected with animation short segments narrated by Lenny Schultz.

“The Pink Panther Show” also saw the infamous laugh track, added to the soundtrack of the show to give a more adult “feel (this was standard practice in the States together during the 60 and 70). While it is admirable that MGM wanted to release a complete collection of “short Panther” just about NBC-TV version is best to remember, and that is how MGM has compiled these drawings animated classics.

Oh, the laugh track. The same people laugh for over 15 years. Hated, but it feels weird without him, especially if you grew up with canned laughter . 12 short films in this series contain the giggles on the soundtrack:

    – shocking pink (1965)
    – An Ounce of Pink (1965) < br /> – PINK PUNCH (1966)
    – The Rose model (1966)
    – SUPER ROSE (1966)
    – Psychedelic Pink (1968)
    – PINK IN THE CLINK (1968)
    – ROSA extinct (1969)
    – PINK TUBA-Dore (1971)
    – GONG WITH THE ROSE (1971 )
    – AYE ROSE (1974)
    – RUTA DE LA ROSA Lonesome (1974)

Interestingly, Sherlock Pink (1976), which for years was the only television available in the article (laughs intact), is definitive that the law of ice here. Knowing the capacity of DVDs, MGM should have taken a lesson from “M * A * S * H” DVD releases and allowed viewers to see every cartoon numerous audio options:

    – with laugh track (TV version)
    – without track laughter (theatrical version)
    – the soundtrack alone “- remember that these shorts contain not only Henry Mancini’s classic theme of ‘Pink Panther’, but excellent musical scores by Walter Greene.

It is obvious that MGM is trying harder to promote its films through the Steve Martin Pink Panther release of the batch, when they did. At one point, a new publication of these cartoons in their original format to television narrator Lenny Schultz, is in order. Fans are then more sound options, access to classic inspector / Misterjaw / Ant and Aardvark cartoons, etc. With TV shows being released on DVD every ten seconds (as in “The Pink Panther Show – The Complete First Season, 1969-1970?), Which only makes sense to give the pink cat and his friends to them due. < , br />
Today, Pink Panther fans will be satisfied with what is already a fantastic set to start.

  5. Other reviews cover what is in this wonderful and enlightening series in detail. I am very excited about this release, but my first thought and the hope has been denied! And this was, “I hope that even the cartoons sister: The Blue Aardvark.”

Remember the voice of Jackie Mason is doing the ant and the classical (his nemisis fresh Daddi-o) always escape? I can not say I remember a story line, but I know he loved them all as a teenager. />
This is the hope that they will continue! But meanwhile, I’m celebrating this release.
